Pozzetto’s family and Locanda Montecristo
Renato Pozzetto and his family have always been tied to Laveno Mombello. Originating in those places, with determination and passion have brought new life to this old farmhouse overlooking Lake Maggiore, bought in 1972 with his brother Achille. The strong family unity and devotion to good food, combined with a little creativity, make today the Locanda Montecristo a place of relaxation and well-being for all lovers of dreamy sunsets and romantic dinners. Laveno, in fact, is set in a large natural bay of Lake Maggiore, and is a point of connection with the Piedmont side through its marina and its picturesque pier, from which year-round ferry trips across the lake. The train station is directly connected to Milan Expo 2015, and is the starting point for private connections to the airport Malpensa International Airport.
